HUH??

LOL i have no idea what you are saying? Truth be told i dont really like it. The sat nav is dated! Its the one with the screen that sort of angles. Im not particually attached to it if someone has a superior proposition?

BUt can i get an ipod lead into this sat nav?

You can get what's called a connects2 box which allows you to connect your ipod, however it will mean loosing the CD changer functionality as it uses the CD changer port on the nav unit.

In the centre of your instrument cluster, does yours have the LCD screen like below?

If it does, then the sat nav was selected as an option when the car was new. This is extremely rare as it was an £1800 option.

If it doesn't, then the nav unit will have been added in at a later date.

Erm i bought the sat nav today!

Yeah thats fine as i dont have a 6 disc changer anyway.

If someone made me an offer on the sat nav im fairly open to selling it as truth be told i think you guys would appreciate it more than me. It was BRAND new today when i had it fitted! (i have a friend at skoda and it was taken from a new car like 8 years ago lol and has sat in a box in a cupboard till today). If i kept it how do i go about obtaining a connect 2 box?

Erm i have that screen but now i think about it i dont think there is any lcd display. Just stays black i think.

Thanks softscoop

Ahh I see. I misread your original post as the fact that the unit was fitted brand new with the car.

Connects2 boxes are available here

Unless you have the CD changer, the nav is pretty useless though unless you like the radio. To use the sat nav you have to have the navigation disc in the drive, which then means that you can't listen to CDs unless you have the changer too.

You'd probably be better off selling it and looking for an aftermarket satnav all in one, as that unit was designed at some point in the late 90s, and so it's a little bit out of date!
