PeoPle do seem to care cause when I say Iv bought a vrs they seem to love it and look forward to seeing it, whether that's just people I know or just the fact it's a vrs as tbf don't think anyone would care of you drove a normal fabia

Mines got a private plate on it so I can feel the novelty all the time :rofl::giggle:

My car also has a private plate and what's more it has a unique number on it

Rob, you the man!

If you're getting a brand new car to your spec, why not have the newest reg? I certainly will and have. Some just don't care or have a private reg, which is fair enough, but hey, leave the young man alone.

This is the only site to come to if you have a problem. Someone will know the answer.

But, unfortunately, this is the first place for ridacule as well.

Good luck fella!!!

It never ceasesto amaze me how many people want to 'own' a depreciating asset.

Congrats to the OP on your new car. Hope you enjoy it no matter what the plates say :)

Its great getting a new car especially as nice as the one your getting!

Haha cheers, someone else who feels this forum is just full of people full of criticism, I come on here to share the fact I'd bought a skoda same as them, however all every did was critisise the fact I was happy to wait 4 week, when I wasn't even suppose to be getting the car until November anyway and it came early!! CRITISM ON THIS FORUM IS THE EXACT REASON FOR THIS THREAD

My comment about a private plate wasn't meant in a negative way, meant it positivly

I also think the people that questioned you were only stating what they had been told from their dealers. When I ordered my Fab vRS in April I was told as soon as it was at the dealers I had 10 days to collect otherwise I would have to pay the VAT. I'm not too sure if they could keep it at port but my choice was to have it as quickly as possible

I hope you enjoy the car, you won't be dissapointed once you get your hands on it

It was on my previous thread that had all the criticism haha, each to their own isn't it people like to have different things, me personally prefer to have a new plate for the sake of 4 weeks, especially when iv got a brand new scirocco to run about in until I get fabia haha!! Think I may stock to vtecturbo forum and leave briskoda haha

In fairness though, the only person who seems to be really that bothered about anything is you.

Congrats on the car (early) and being able to get a 61 plate. Good for you.

Look forward to the pictures and review in due cours. Have fun.

But also in fairness, it must bother people like yourself and a few others who have commented as you have posted

Don't get too hung up on everything, it's a forum and peoples opinions will always differ, that's what makes us unique

The discussion in this thread makes me laugh, it's not criticism from most people i see it as most people saying, you shouldn't really care what others think - just enjoy your car and get on with it, at the end of the day, the only person who you really have to answer to is yourself.

Regarding the arguement of a VRS v a normal Fabia,:rofl:. That's a matter of opinion, in some circles, as green car, as per the greenline 2, is much more respectable and impressive than a VRS. At the end of the day, they cost similar money and do the job you want from it. That's ofcourse if you care what other people think ;)

At the end of the day, as i've just shown and other people have said, everyones got different opinions on stuff, so just enjoy the car.

aye well I give in proving my point about my reasonings haha!!!! Ha it's true about the fabia though they are an ugly car...but that's what I like about the vrs it's unexpected :) my dad constantly taking the Micky, and saying I should o bought the polo gti but I think there slightly boring due to not been able to go for a loud colour such as rally green along with black wheels etc lol

lol, it does seem older people are stuck in the same old rut regarding Skoda - was your dad willing to stump up the extra 3 grand to buy the Polo, for no extra performance? Even the SAME satnav option as the Fabia costs nearly twice as much, which to me says alot about VW owners and badge snobbery. I'm not keen on that tartan interior either - maybe in 1976 when the mk1 Golf came out...

Haha he just thought better looking car but couldn't bring myself to pay the extra lol, but I like the colour options on skoda compared, must admit I like the interior on the polo but I'm happy with being different with a fabia, with nice green :)!! Car has been named as shrek

I think most green versions will be called that ;)

Will have to pop down Pod for a RWYB day when you get it

I ran a 15.086 at Bruntingthorpe so hoping I'll be in the 14s at pod

That's not bad for a stock car at all, it's up there with 200+bhp hot hatches
