What's involved in flaring the rear arches? I can only run 215s at the rear as 225s rub but I'd like to run the proper size.

Plus it looks mean :)

Again I'd like to thank people for there kind comments about the car, expected more hate than love to be honest as there are aspects of my car people normally dislike which is fine with me but its good to know that there is love for what I've done to it in my 8 years of ownership and as I'm on blackberry I can't multi quote but to answer the couple of questions then yes the rear arches are flared out as I wanted a bit of extra clearance and yes the vrs logo is stencilled on the fmic, some people think its on the radiator with it been black but I just painted the fmic as it was looking a little bit tired from weathering so did it black to keep the front looking dark

Only thing about your car i don't like is the noise it makes when it scrapes, something you can't fix without altering the look of your awesome ride B)

my fav octavia

As the saying goes

"if it ain't rubbin it ain't dubbin"

You've absolutely nailed the stance, looks perfect. B)

I remember your car from Harewood House back in 2008.

I also like the smooth roof with no antenna. Did you get the hole welded up?

Nice, but could do with being lowered. :giggle:

Cheers guys and Rob I just used a friends arch rolling tool to flare my arches and then when I had them where I wanted them I had a skim of filler put over them and painted as they where a bit rippled lol but to be fair when I did them I only pulled them as much as I did as I was going to buy some 10†wide wheels off a friend for the back and due to the offsets they poked quite a bit so that's why I pulled the arches but to be fair the ones I have are 9.5†with a 25mm adaptor so with a smaller adaptor I probably could of fit under the factory wheelarch, don't know what the estate is like under the arch but can you see where yours rubs? as I removed the wheelarch liner and that helped

And yes the aerial hole was welded up and filled as I don't aerials lol, next plan is to shorten the plate recess in the boot for my shorter plate, just hope I like it cos if not I'll be on the lookout for a new boot haha

And I know your only kidding Delcac but I would be lower if I could deal with replacing the subframe every few months but its bad enough as it is and regularly hits the tarmac and the odd cats eye when changing lane

If I fit 225 tyres to my 18x8" 35mm offset wheel the tyre rubs the arch liner on bumps.

I don't really want to remove the arch liner as NZ roads are made with tar and lumps of sharp rock so if I go through roadworks I'll end up with rusty arches from all of the stone chips.

Best stick with the 215s for now I think :)

Could you not just trim away where its catching and then underseal shultz the area to protect it? That's all I did when I removed my liners
