Can anyone help iv been having problems on a 51 plate vrs covered 100k wont select 5th gear most of the time and now and again 3rd. is this a linkage problem or is box on its way out box?

Have you change gearbox oil at all, if not do that first and then follow youtube video on adjusting gear linkages on mk4 golf, same as vrs

Use genuine oil its cheap enough
