G W Bridges salvage yard

Featured Replies

Was in there at the weekend and saw a black mk1 octy vRS is there.

If there's anyone interested it has a set of 5 spiders (badly scuffed) locking wheel nuts still in place though.

And of course a set of 312 brakes which I got a quote for £25+vat per caliper.

Hope that will help someone out.

Rule #1 NEVER buy/use alloys from a crashed car. ;)

Why's that? Tbh there was no front or rear impacts and the 2 doors on it where in ok condition.

Was a ex insurance case so it may of had a engine go or something which may of it resulting in a write off.

Where's the scrap yard m8?

On the M23 near a village called pease pottage. Must stress that the locking wheel nuts are still in place so will need smashing off.

Alloys tend to fracture in impacts, unlike steel which bends.

Or if you have the same type of skoda locking nut try it, tried mine with a fellow member's L&K and they were the same!!

Least i know where to go if my spiders get nicked :giggle:

Wrong end of the country for me asusual :(

Here's the website if anyone's interested, the octy's not listed yet My link
