Is 4L enough for oil change for Vrs

Featured Replies

The manual says it take 4.3L.I'm hoping I'd get away with 4L with it being near the top of the dip stick.

Mine took 5 litre perfectly

As above, it's says 4.3 litres but I use the guts of five each time which is strange?

Rather. I always seem to come back with some spare from 4.5L?

With a question like this, I wonder if you've bought oil made by Castrol?

I always wonder why they sell 4 litres not 5. The best thing to do is buy an extra litre of oil in case 4 litres don't fill. If you don't use it you can use it as top up oil in the future.

I bought 8 litres of castrol edge this morning, 65 in total, 20% off at halfords. It would have cost 50 anyway for five as the same bottles are rather expensive

Castrol, 4 + 1 as the capicity is only 4.3-4.5

Used some of the spare with the plug out just to run through the engine, couldent hurt, then topped her up
