Not sure mind why the 215 tyres have the term polymer coating in brackets but the 225 don't :wonder:

Other points to note are the 140 has G06 front shock absorption and the 110 4x4 G02, plus the change in the rear brakes used from WK45/09.

That factory fitted Webasto heater is one option I wish we had in the UK.

Does anyone have experience of retrofitting them?

I nearly froze to death last winter.

I had had a diesel powered auxilary Webasto heater in my Audi fitted a standard. Really an ace bit of kit. But in the UK it did not come with the remote option at all and it only worked when the temperature was below 5 degrees. So you might have been frozen if the car said it was 5,5 degrees you had to wait for the diesel engine to warm before you got any heat!!! Doh. But when it was cold enough it was a god sent. I also loved that it had its own exhaust pipe at the FRONT of the car! So whilst I was busy scraping ice of the windscreen you would see steam coming out the back exhaust, the front exhaust and from both the heated exterior mirrors! Neat.

I would not say no to one on my Yeti but I heard they are near a grand in cost!!! That much I don't need one.

We just had Webasto retrofits installed into both of our Yetis. My wife's 1.2 TSI got a Thermo Top EVO 4kW and my 2.0 TDI a Thermo Top EVO 5 kW, both with remote control T100. I hate to say but I'm kind of waiting for colder weathers to see how well they will perform...

We had similar experiences of freezing to the bone last winter - last winter we both had in our previous cars only electric oil sump heaters and that was not sufficient to warm the cars up - especially when the temperatures went down to -35 degrees...

The next thing is to install retro battery chargers (DEFA 1204) to both cars as we mainly drive fairly short distances daily. Wife's car has already been dealt with and mine will be done next weekend - if the weather permits.

Unfortunately there is not yet too much to tell about how the Webasto tin can works but I'll be putting more info coming as Mr. Jack Frost starts biting us.

One thing worth mentioning is that the fitter who installed out heaters did not have access to VCDS and I need to visit my dealer to see if he can help me make the heater and Climatronic to communicate in a more civilized manner. Currently the advise for a good heating result from the fitter is to leave Clima to manual with heating at MAX and fan at 3/7 when stopping the car - this works but I would imagine that should be a more elegant solution with all the modern electronics in the car
