I'm looking to lower my fabia vrs, looking at apex lowering springs 40mm. Anybody got these fitted and has some pics I could look at? Are the standard vrs springs already lower than non vrs models?

most spring kits will only lower the vrs around 25mm as the vrs model is already 15mm lower than others.

eibach get really good reviews on here a little more than others but you get what you pay for

As mentioned the VRS is already around 15mm lower so the Apex will only give you around 20mm.

Both the Eibach Pro and H&R springs are specifically for the VRS so a great choice and you'll also see the full stated drop.

Any lower and the JOM coilovers are a good option for not much more then springs.
