Bookatrack trackdays

Featured Replies

Bookatrack are advertising the following trackdays. It would be nice to get the ball rolling and block book one of these days like we did at Anglesea. For anyone who missed this it was fantastic.

I think Mallory Park would be a good central point for everyone in the UK... if the

Just received an e-mail from bookatrack offering members a 10% discount if 10 or more cars book onto the same event.

Re mallory... isnt that a nice tight little bike track with not much run off!

Interest duely registered

Elvington may be the cheapest but I've heard that the surface is a bit hard on tyres.

Des, let me know if your doing any of these dates,

All sound good to me. :D

Are these circuits suitable for novices? If so, I'm interested (subject to getting an OK off SWMBO, of course :o ). I think Elvington may be a tad far away, though.

Bring her along too. Bookatrack the price includes upto two drivers per car. Which is very handy for myself and Pinklady.

Elvington is just around the corner from me, if anyone needs accomodation it can be arranged for the night curtosy of mr HellFire :D, I too am a complete novice at track days after doing a total of.............0...........I wouldnt mind some run off.

Also, elvington has a lot of straights, whereas the other ones will be more technical and SWMBO probably wont want to come along incase she crashes, surely hard cornering on the twisty circuits would be worse for tyres than the long straights of Elvington.

Let me know which everyone decides and i'm definately up for it.

1. HellFire (Elvington)

Elvington is suposed to be a tyre killed because of the highly abrasive surface. You find twisty tracks generally have nice smooth grippy surfaces.

Mallory has naff all run off as has been mentioned.

Hi Guys,

If you are interested in doing trackdays, I am an instructor with goldtrack, and will be able to get you a discount, if we can get a few cars together.

We are doing days all over the place this year, i e silverstone, donington, brands hatch, mallory, and if you are really serious we are off to spa in july!!

Website : www.goldtrack.co.uk

FYI - This is not a sales pitch and I get nothing from this, just that I have worked for most of the trackday companies and know which ones you get a good safe enjoyable day from, and which ones not to go with!!

If you want any further info, or would like to know what happens on one of their days, please do not hesitate to mail me.
