Audio help needed

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just wondered if you can help.

On my MY09 Superb I have just bought, i've tried to plug my ipod through the AUX setting, I plug it in but when I select AUX on the touch screen, nothing happens. The 6 disk changer work and the Radio is fine, just the AUX is not.....

Anyone any suggestions??

Thanks

Switch on "AUX" in one of the options menus and all will be well. :)

Thanks Ray, could you be a little more specific where it is? Sorry

Setup key, then Media, then "Activate AUX input."

I dont have an Activate AUX setting! :'(

I have a setting for Bluetooth Audio which then gives the setting BT Audio but you can't press them. I dont have Bluetooth on the car apparently, so this is even more confusing....

Very strange...

You have started to play music on your iPhone? If you don't, then press play and then try AUX button again.

Also check the tone/audio/volume settings - my Superb came with the volume input for Aux set at nil = no volume.

Thanks for all your replies.

I cannot get it to work at all. :swear:

I've tried all your suggestions but to no avail.

I have the AUX plug in the centre console but when I plug an ipod/phone in nothing happens at all. There is a BT AUDIO which seems to connect via a bluetooth but that gain doesn't show a way of connecting.

I will have to take it to the Dealers and ask them to have a look.

So frustrating as the stereo is excellent for sound quality!

Just to check its the Skoda Bolero system so it should work....shouldn't it??? :@

Apologies - I'd assumed it was a Columbus unit.

Ray

Ray is correct, you will have to activate the AUX input. I have an SE with the Bolero unit and had to do this as well.

I will check later, but I believe you will find the setting to both activate the AUX input and also adjust it's sensitivity (so your iPod matches the radio/CD volume level when switching sources) via the 'SETUP' button on the bottom right, not via the MEDIA button.

UPDATE!!!

Just to let you know the outcome in getting the AUX working.

I had to take it to Mitchell Skoda in Chester, they , after 4 hrs working on it discovered that a new radio had been installed this year and the technician who had installed it, did not put in ALL THE CODES! Yes ALL!

Each setting i.e Radio, Aux, SD Card, CD etc all has a different code and the Aux hadnt been entered and thats why it didnt work.

Unbelieveable!

To be fair to Mitchell, despite a 4 hour job, they were only going to charge me for 1 hours labour as it wasnt a warranty item, £98 inc VAT. I called the garage I bought it from, Capitol Skoda, South Wales and they immediately footed the bill, so not to bad.

I have been really impressed with Skoda, dealers and car so far.

I thought i'd tell you about the solution. Thanks for all of your inputs.

Colin
