You've removed the anti shudder valve with the erg. In guessing your car is an earlyish one?

Its a 2004/05 fabia vrs?

I was just checking if others were same :)

The earlier models have have the anti shudder valve as part of the egr, later ones are electronic so you lose the anti shudder valve, others will have this too, could cause problems with engine mounts over time

Thanks wilsy7 :)

I never realised the later ones were electronic. How strange, my mates SE still shudders :-/

Maybe it is only retained when pulling the vacuum pipe off? But with the delete pipe the whole valve is being lost, maybe that's why?

Anti shudder valve is part of the egr valve on all models. Normal for the engine to shudder when turned off. I wouldnt worry about premature wear on mountings both engine and gearbox mountings are made of chocolate and you more than likely will replace one or the other during ownership

I see :) i was planning to get the 70k dog bone bush soon :)

Ive got uprated dog bone bush on mine. Causes vibration through steering wheel at idle vagcom can be used to raise idle speed slightly to compensate

You guys are awesome the way you overcome all the extra problems introduced by modding the EGR system, kind of like taking medication for the side effects caused by medication, how much faster do you go with that EGR deleted, and are you on medication for that medication? :giggle:
