Rubbish speakers in felly L

Does anybody know if bigger or better speakers fit into the standard door cards

If the door cards are anything like the predecessor (Favorit) should be easy to remove and check what space is available.

you don't have to remove the door cards to have a look- the plastic speaker covers pop off.

Cool even easier :) on Favorit speaker is screwed to back of the door card.

Pop the grill off, 4 screws, two wires and Robert's your mother's brother!

The only 'adjustment' I made was to help the connectors fit better on the new speakers.

Oh and you're looking at 140mm speakers too. ;)

by the way love the quote 'But there's no sense crying over every mistake, you just keep on trying till you run out of cake'

They are 13.5cm ones, fairly easy to change for new ones as said above just pop the grilles off the front and undo the screws holding the speaker to the door moulding. It wouldn't be easy to fit larger speakers to it unfortunately because there isn't enough 'meat' around the grilles aperture to get a larger speaker in there without fouling on the grille, which is odd in itself because the hole in the door card is large enough to fit a fairly large speaker, and there is plenty of clearance to the window regulator.. It might be possible to fibreglass over the speaker hole n the door moulding and fit a larger speaker surface mounted with an external grille supplied with the new speakers..

The other thing I noted was that the centre console has 2 perforated circles either side just under where the radio is, on the inside there is 4 screw mounting holes for self tappers which look like they could take a 17cm speaker, although this is only theoretical because I've never tried it. But it could be an interesting trick for somebody to try.

I had a look at the speaker holes in the centre console myself and tried to fit 5" speakers in there... They foul the thingy in the middle of the car (forget it's name) and also foul the pockets when putting them back in :(

^^ i bet there is a custom fit speaker that will fit in there, the plastic channel under the centre console is only a heater duct which comes out under the front seats, you could always chop this out..

I fitted speakers in the centre console once on a Favorit (I think they used similar consoles on the early Felicia). I put two smaller speakers in which was cool. :)

hi i got vibe ones in my door cards on my felicia l and they are much bigger that the standard ones they sound great amped tooo

Cheers guys got some 'FLI' 13cm for £26 they just fit in depth wise and the sound difference is noticeable can actually hear it on the motorway now.

I cut some FLI's into the back panels in the truck. I have to admit, for a cheapo pair of speakers, they're not too bad really :)

Oh and the 'cake' quote is from the computer game 'Portal' ;)

I obviously haven't played it enough yet :D

I found using the "loud" feature on a headunit or turning bass and treble up make it sound a little better on crap speakers.

I put me some 13cm Top Audio 100w 2-way speakers in my door cards and for only £20 they do the job quite well.. The grille likes to rattle a bit though lol :o

my vibe ones were £40 and they rattle the door mirrors and any think in the door pocket and they are 210watts go well with the vibe 6x9 and vibe 1600w sub
