Featured Replies

Hello friends,

Can anyone tell me why vag-com software does not recognize my sound system (radio system 56) controller at all? My car is oct 1,6 with a secondhand symphony audio system from an octy RS. The HU works properly, but I want to make some corrections with vag-com.

Thank you for your help

The problem is that although the car has this control module installed (I mean the skoda audio symphony), it is not working neither in autoscan nor in manual selection.

I imagine that this is because the car hadn

Sounds silly but are you doing it with the radio switched on? Until I recoded mine it had to be switched on to connect.

If an aftermarket radio has been fitted at some stage the installer may have disconnected the K line from the radio plug to avoid the radio problems with the scanning tools.

Check that K line connector is intact to the radio.

Yes, an aftermarket Radio had been previously installed but I don

The K line is the wire that is used to diagnose the radio with the likes of VAG-com.

Here is a link to a site which shows the connections on the back of the radio.

You will need to check the wiring to pin 3 of the bottom connector.

My guess it will either have been cut off or tied back in the loom.

There is now wiring at position 3 (k line) at the adaptor!! Now, which cable i have to put there? Which one it the corrrespondig cable that i have to fit to position 3 at the adaptor?

Look for a wire in the loom which is not connected to anything (Near these plugs).

My guess is that it would be Grey/white in colour.
