Now thats what a MFSW should look like, not the smooth ones we are fobbed off with as an option on the Yeti.....

By the way, it is missing the flappy paddles...... (that mine has).

Are you changing from 4-spoke? Do you know if they have the same airbag? (i want to change my 4-spoke in my Superb -11).

I went from a 4 spoke MFSW to vRS 3 spoke MFSW with flappy paddles and reused my airbag...

Don't think so on an adventure model. (=SE I think)

Same here - airbag assy is same on Octavia, Yeti and Superb according to my ETKA

That is exactly what I have, and yes it works. I have a vRS MFSW with flappy paddles.

(and so does Gizmo, but he doesn't have DSG)

No programming or so?

The dealer told me it couldn't be done! Not without changing the wirings... They gave me a price of products and the time for them to do it, please, have a seat... ~ €11 000!!!!

I just have to show them, how totally wrong they are! :(

YES: from 4 spooke smooth skin, to 3 spooke perforated leather (pro radio only)

Do you know if they ship to Sweden? I have just sent them an email. Hope they answer me...

My Czech is poor (using google translate), is this organisation reliable? I would be very pleased if you could help me, steering wheel here in Sweden is at least ~€500 I think (will check today).

Hi

It took Ben at Shark Performance about 30 minutes to fit and program the MFSW. the programming part took about 30 seconds.....Hardest part was getting the steering wheel on straight

Disconnect battery, remove airbag (not so easy if you don't know what you are doing), undo nut remove steering wheel. disconnect wiring. replace with new steering wheel in correct place/orientation & refit nut, reconnect wiring. refit airbag. re connect battery. plug in VCDS & go to relevant section (no idea as not got VCDS) hold the paddles and it was all activated.

Done.

As I said, it took Ben who has done lots of these, about 30 minutes before we were able to drive off.

The paddles work in tiptronic as well as 'D' and 'S'.

I think the cost of the MFSW with paddles is in the region of £500 in the UK. I don't have a part number.

Thanks for the guide I have VCDS so I think I can do the programming my self. I've change many SW with airbags before so I think I could do the swapping my self, I'll try...

The price in Sweden is ~€1500!!! for just the MFSW... :/ But I don't trust my dealer...

I want to change too, I really miss the paddles I had in my SAAB 9.3 Aero with 6 speed automatic and 180 HP diesel :'(

I think its kind of strange that its not a factory option on DSG Yetis ?
