one of my favourite styling cues on the fabia's is the floating roof look; it reminds me of the Nissan GTR, but this black roof removes the floating roof look as exposes the unsportiness of the fabia chassis.....

I reckon the black roof makes it look more sporty not less... The fabia is quite a narrow tall car -the black roof helps to disguise this a little by making it look lower (at least that's what I keep telling myself after I ordered one! )

I have to say I love the black roof, especially on the white car. In my opinion the Fabia tend to look quite tall and the roof being black looks like it lowers the car a little. My wife said she likes any colour barring red but not white! As it has black on it she seemed to like it so I recon I got away with it.

The 105Tdi is brilliant! I really can't believe how punchy it is already and I haven't even gone above 3000rpm yet! I checked when the car was made and it was 19th July which was a Tuesday according to my calculations. Thankfully it's genuinely not a Friday car as so far I have to say it is spot on. I am especially pleased with the reverse parking sensors. The head unit goes blank and lowers the volume, it displays a maxi dot picture of the car and indicates both visually and audibly when you are near something. For the sake of £133 it is a no brainer!

Nice one Matt the same colour as mine and the best colour IMHO, I think you have made the best choice of engine as the 105 tsi engine is a joke when it comes to fuel consumption. I am not a diesel fan but would of gone for the 1.6 cr diesel if I knew just how bad the 105 tsi was in real life driving ie: Try 35mpg with normal driving and 50 mpg if you drive at 30 to 40mph in 5th at around 1000 rpm with no hills and forget duel carriageways and motorways. So you have made the right choice.
