Well, I can blow that theory out of the water - I'm nearly 43 and have a mk1 vRS :)

:D

Still young

I#m 55 and I've got an Elegance TDi, but that's because I prefer 50mpg to the 25 that my colleague's vRS did on the same roads.

Question 1 - I prefer my L&K, because it's mine, because it was free, because it does everything I want, etc etc etc.

Question 2 - He didn't buy the VRS. He merely drove one. He actually bought a Toyota MR2 in the end, but still keeps telling me what a lovely car my L&K is!!

And if you think 33 is old, you have a lot more coming your way.... !!

Of ourse it is lovely car it's l&k trim ... No doubt ... for free? U r very lucky ..  I wanna car for free too  have you got any pics of your l&k ... please

Just imagine a blue 2003 mk1 Octavia with scratches, dents, dings, peeling laquer and the occasional missing bit of trim.

It cost me £120 just to get it fixed and working after the engine bolts sheared off - There's a reason it was free!!

Someone told me Škoda translates as "Damage", which is quite appropriate given the condition of mine... and even more so, when you remember that Škoda started off making heavy artillery and gigantic ship-mounted cannon!!

Skoda translates damage but skoda also means bad luck or unluckiness .. I can say about my skoda it is bad luck too... I have bought mk3 estate black pearl magic ... after 2 weeks when sun came out I found out there are buffer trails and I went mad with seller as it was mis-sold , so he gave me £250 back ... when I went to body work they told me it will cost me £500 ... what's a joke ... so I rang to Czech republic and they will remove it for £100 ... planning go to see my family in April...

And again, it's context-dependent.... If I have a Škoda howitzer shooting at you, then you're really having some bad luck!!

I also heard it translates to 'shame'... Yup, I have a Škoda-gun and you don't - Such a shame.... BOOOOOM!!! :D
