I hav just order a new Elegance and managed to negotiate a MDI as part of the deal. However I have just looked again in the brochure and it says that MDI is incuded in SE and above in the standard equipment list but available as available for all models as an optional extra! Am I missing something ?

The SE plus is a new addition to the line up and has a few things not standard on the Elegance, like sunset glass and the MDI.

So it's a progression in spec from S, SE, Elegance. The SE plus then is an SE with some cool extras.

SE plus (just got mine) has the MDI as standard, and yes its an option on the elegance (as is Privacy glass). One thing to check is you get the lead from the MDI socket so you can plug in your ipod. The MDI is a weird socket and it will not fit a USB connection, and this may NOT be included in the deal. Its only @ £20 but you will be cheesed off if you picked up your car and had no music (bar radio) to listen too!

Dont forget the MDI is not just for iPods, and that with the appropriate cable you can plug a multitude of devices in including USB Hard Drives which some have found more advantageous than an iPod/iPhone due to much larger storage capacity, and you can leave it in the car all the time and just remove it to add music.
