Cruise Control

Featured Replies

I'm sure this has been done to death before but I have a few question's I'd like to ask.

I've been following posts for a while and searched a few about the subject of retro fitting.

I know BigK was doing it but I believe he has retired, he mentioned that he'd had problem enabling it in the newer 05 model year cars ECU's.

Has anyone been doing it?

Can you try to enable the CC before it is fitted to confirm if it can or can't be done?

If it can't be done with VAG-COM would the dealer machine be anymore likely to achieve it?

Is there a part number for the missing loom?

Are the connections the same as the VW ones commonly posted in the tutorials?

Can't help on the rest but yes the VAG 1552 can do enable cruise as this is how they do it when they dealer-fit it :D

My dealer reckons that it can't be dealer fit as the loom is missing.

From what I have read, this is known and BigK as well as others were making their own up. What I wanted to be clear of is, if i get the loom sorted and fit the stalk can it definately be switched on?

Loom can be made.

PM bigK for info, something can be sorted out.

Yes I've read a few of your posts about it. Leeds is a long way for me to travel but it is a good price. Did you hang around an watch them do it? Did the car have the loom fitted or did they make it?

They made the loom and it took 2 1/2 hours from start to finish :)

I have done but he must be busy or something at the moment.

I've spoken to Big K and he says he hasn't received your PM. You could try again (I know he is receiving PMs), but if that fails, PM me and I'll pass the details on...

Cheers,

I'm now interested in getting Cruise retro fitted to my vRS, and from looking through this post I gather that BigK is the man to talk to. However, I can't find him to PM? Is he not on here anymore?

Does anyone else on here do it?

I have spoken with Big K but he seems to have disapeared again.

I've done a lot of research on this myself now and think I'm about ready to go. When I get time to do it and I know it works I'll release the info.

Sounds like a Briskoda reader there then :D

I've been in touch with Skoda UK about it and was told that a Retro kit may be available in the UK at some stage.

There is a kit available in Germany part number BEA400002, there are also - I'm told - 3 of these in UK stock at a price of

I just fited CC for fabia 2005 (16v).

Since CC kit was made for models pre 2005, there were problems with wiring, but after one call to factory, they send fax with info how to solve it

CC fited by dealer, I just watched

I have put the part numbers in the review section.
