Aha, hiya Rev! I think we've passed and waved on several occasions. I live between Hebden and Todmorden, up on the hillside. Peter/Maffa told me about you initially. Is yours the car with the red and yellow striped oval on the back?

That's me! The sticker is the Northumberland County badge - as a Geordie missionary to Yorkshire, I like to fly the flag!

Cheers,

Tony

I'm all in favour of missionary work in Yorkshire - I'm from Norfolk. They keep telling me up here that this is "God's own county". I tell them he may live here (because quite clearly there's a lot of work for him to do) but he takes his holidays in Norfolk.

I have spent many a fine holiday in Southwold loving the fish and chips and Adnams ale. A favourite pub crawl starts with a walk over the common to the Bell in neighbouring Walberswick then onto the Harbour Inn, up to the crown and finish off with a merry-go round of the holy trinity The Red Lion, Nelson and Sole Bay Inn.

Big skies in Norfolk. Big skies in Northumberland. I can see the connection! But Northumberland is REALLY God's own country - he just lets Yorkshire folk think so 'cos it keeps them happy.

I was ordained at the Methodist Conference in Norwich in 1981.

Cheers,

Tony
