Another red one... Excellent choice :D

I have the armrest in mine and find it the most useless and irritating thing ever. Thank god you can fold it away.

Enjoy!

Haha. In my soon-to-be-departed Ford Galaxy I find the armrest a God-send on the long motorway cruises, hence speccing that and the cruise control.

Nice choice, get some pics up when you get it, you won't be dissapointed!

I hope not!

It will be first new car, first even remotely smart car. After 6 years at uni I've landed a decent job so thought I'd treat myself :-) Just hope Skoda look after me. It's coming from Whitequay dealers in Newbury

6 years at uni????? Christ, what were they teaching you?

Nice one  the monte looks good in red B) look forward to seeing the pics

Congrats you'll love it

2hrs to go..., Argh!!!!!!

Slightly excited :-D

You can pick it up, safe in the knowledge you have specced the best colour ;)

Got!!! She's awesome!

Unfortunately no time to mess with her tonight as I've got to rush home for someone to look at my departing car. Good opportunity to see what the engines got though...

Pics up later :-)

Looking forward to seeing them.

Give us a quick run down on how the pick up went with the dealer if you get a chance.

Nice one   have fun with it ;)

Sorry, I've been having far too much fun driving! Obviously not redlining the little engine yet (still only 66miles on her!) but it pulls so well. Very impressed. Fires you down the road and the speedo climbs at quite a suprising rate! Managed to get some quick snaps off though...

I'll have a good fiddle with her this weekend when I've got a bit more time and get some photos catalogued. First jobs are going to be:-

- clean, detail, seal and wax her before proper winter gets here (missingmyvrs has offerd to help  )

- invest in a top notch bike rack and some mats (any smart rubber mats people can recommend) to protect her through winter mountain biking

- find me a hard-drive for the MDI to get loaded up with music

Anyways, it goes without saying I'm super-stoked. Everyone at work thinks it's great and I've seen plenty of smiling heads turning (include that of some little treat in her fellas Clio Sport B) ). I've now got to try and sleep with the exciting prospect of driving it to work again in the morning!?

Cheers for the comments all

as soon as you want it waxed just pm me i will pop over or you come over to mine and i will do it..

it really is a must sooner rather than later especially cold weather coming and grit on the road = damaged paint work

p.s cars going well misses is happy with it and said its comfy lol im guessing the last few family cars ive had where not ideal lol kwv3 not very forgiving on the road !!!

p.s it was the power steering pump not just the pulley but galaxy forum has come up trumps lol im now on about 11 forums

p.s.s when we do the wax etc etc i will bring my camera over and get you some high res pics ;-)

Your car looks GREAT!!

-find me a hard-drive for the MDI to get loaded up with music

I've just picked up a 500gb Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex that are the preferred HD here, from Pixmania for £52 delivered.

- invest in a top notch bike rack and some mats (any smart rubber mats people can recommend) to protect her through winter mountain biking

I'd suggest Skoda OEM rubber mats for a tailored 29 quid :) Bike rack wise I've no experience of the Fabia, I have got the internal rack for my estate, but I'm struggling to get my 17" hardtail in it.. :S I'd suggest a saris, but be careful when fitting due to the spoiler!

Very nice monte :p B)

i just don't like that black plastic trim on these monte carlos' it just looks too cheap.

i'm right in thinking that the vRS doesn't have those.

Cheers guys!

Nockmeister:-

Does the 500Gb fit the little cubby hole as snuggly as I've heard the 250 does?

The Saris Bones does look like a winner. A guy at work has one so might see if I can try it for size first

And cheers for the shout on the mats. I'll have a look at those. Just don't want anything that looks too agricultural, but then anythings better than wrecking the carpets over winter!

Yep...externally the same size. Just don't forget to reformat to FAT32 :)

I think the Skoda rubber mats have locating holes in them, so you can use the carpet mat lugs...handy!

Waterproof airbag compatable seat covers are essential as well for MTB'ing ;)

Kit bag and spare clothes will hopefully suffice :-)
