Mine has 195 bhp, 0-60 mid 6's and excellent in gear acceleration (so much better than standard now it's warn in), and yet I still get 55-60 when nannying it, 40-45 when driving briskly, 35-40 when going very quickly and high 20's when redlining consistently

In respect to bikes giving equalish mpg but quicker acceleration, the acceleration is true, but not necessarily true. My SV650 has a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds, which slaughters the Fabia, but still only manages an average of around 35-40mpg, so on that respect the Fabia is still better.

You really have no idea how heavy the doors of the fabia are do you...I lifted one up at the service centre here to see how much it weighed and IT IS DOG-GONE heavy! So imagine why people call it sportier to have a 3-door when they have at least 100 kilos of the car just because the two rear-doors are missing

I liked the '99 ibiza gt tdi. Nice shape. It is only 95bhp, but the torque in it was unbelievable.

The new one is butt-ugly.

I doubt you'd find many bikes that manage more than 50mpg and better accelleration than the furby

The latter part of that statement is totally misleading. Even my Suzuki Bandit 600 well outperforms the vRS...

I am sure that is a good point about the weight.I was thinking more about the lines of the car.I think there was some bemoaning the fabia not offering a three door version.
