Dont know if anyone has seen this before, just seen it myself for the first time. Its a 9 minute short French movie from the 70's, all shot from a bumper cam of a Mercedes tearing around Paris at 5.30am. Fairly impressive looking stuff.

Cheers

Lots of myths around about this film, including when it was first shown the director was arrested.

Don't think the car was ever known?

Not seen all the film, but it's now out on DVD.

Still like watching it

Yeah, seems to be a lot of debate on the net about it, the car isnt shown but opinion seems to be split between a Fezza or a 450 Merc. There's a few comments on youtube that the frame rate may have been manipulated etc. to give a phenomeneon of speed etc. I woudl say from the way all the other traffic on the road seems to hit the breaks or pull over when he approaches though he must have had some speed on.

Either way, its still better than 90% of recent car chases ive seen in't movies.

Cheers

C’était un Rendezvous is one of my favourite car movies, even if it's only 10 mins long. It said to be filmed on the bumper of a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL. It is suggested that the soundtrack was dubbed with the sound of Lelouch's (director) Ferrari 275GTB, which has a corresponding number of gears and a V-12 sound that is quite distinct from that of any V8, including the 6.9 litre V8 of the alleged Mercedes camera car.
