Or cold! :giggle: The climatronic in a Yeti has separate settings for passenger and driver (you can switch this off if you really want) and the two vents in the back go hand in hand with the front settings. So the left one will be to the passenger's temperature and the right one will be to that of the driver. So baby can have hot AND cold at once! But that would be stupid. B)

doh OK, yes I see what you mean now.

Now I know I should RTFM but the yeti is behaving differently from my Octavia and I had assumed things would just be the same. Last night the auto rear wiper revealed itself to me and had me puzzling over why the rear wiper was working on its own, and now the climatronic. On Octavia, if you set the temp via the driver's control it sets both, until the passenger adjusts their side after which they operate independently. On the yeti they seem to just be independent which causes more fiddlign to get a constant temperature. Is it possible to use one control to adjust them both? (ie an Octavia mode)

Just press the "Dual" button and it will then change both sides at the same time.

ah yes, that would make sense! Not really had too much time to play with the yeti so far. Now how about the amazingly loud nosie when you hit the voice dial button on bluettoh? I nearly deafened myself earlier. B)

There are probably as many threads on this issue on Briskoda as there are about winter tyres.......... :giggle:

Press the left scroll wheel. Insomnia will start barking, just scroll the wheel down to the volume you prefer. Job done. Next time it syncs to the phone or you awake Insomnia that will be the set level. That is until someone calls you and you scroll the volume up again to be able to hear what these people are saying to you......... doh. Stupid, Stupid system to have one volume for the connection bong, Insomnia's barking AND the volume of people calling you.

You can however disable this bluetooth connection bong via VCDS. Ask Gizmo68 how to do it.

thanks but it's not the connection bong - I spotted those threads and actually I quite like to know that the connection happened. No when you press the left scroll wheel to do a voice command there is a MUCH MUCH louder bong. I nearly turned my onyx leather to gobi it was so loud. :giggle:

Sorry to hear about your juke problems.

I really like the Juke shape, seen lots of them around and they look really funky.

Quite nice to see unusual cars on the road.

I would descibe the yeti as 'funky but chunky', I'm sure you will have lots of fun in yours.

Cheers, Fuzzy

Got my candy White yeti today at 5pm and I've only just parked her on the drive.

What a quality car!! It makes up for the bad experience with Nissan just to have a car that feels solid drives amazingly well and I have to say looks stunning.

I love it so much I'm not sure if i should go back out and drive now or wait till morning ? lol

congratulations! I know the feeling, 2 weeks in and I'm still very impressed. I had a cracking Octavia Laurin and Klement before but having had 5 Octavias I was a bit bored of them. the Yeti is refreshingly different. You could always go out and sleep in it :giggle:

what spec did you get? Candy White is my favourite yeti colour I have to say

I got the SE but it was someone elses pre order and they picked additional ESP and and Bluetooth.

I'm over the moon.

If the weather is nice tomorrow she will be getting the full clay and HD wax treatment.

nice. Yeah I was in the same boat but picked up the elegance. I treated mine with some Gtechniq C2 to seal in the shine, looks good so far. Then go for a blast round some twisty roads, amazing how "planted" it feels

Oh and then find someone with VCDS to enable the staging needles and the big digital speedo on the maxidot

By the way in the middle of the screen in-between the rev counter and speedo it's got kmh in the middle, is it possible to change that to mph?

Cheers.

Sorry another question on the MFD it also says check deadlock owners manual every time I turn ignition off but I can't find it in manual. Does anyone know what it means?

Should I be worried?

Thanks again all.

Simple answer.....NO.

It is there because UK Regs require all vehicles show both MPH and KPH speed readings, and since the speedometer only shows MPH then the readout has to be in KPH.

Long answer.......YES.

You need to find someone with a VAGCOM/VCDS system who can reprogramme your car to Aussie spec.

Thanks, is it an expensive thing to have done? And does it invalidate warranty?

Only if you buy VCDS. Look up your nearest Briskoda member in the VCDS & diagnostics part of Briskoda.

They will help for some beer money normally :-)

Sorry I was asleep :-) As has already been said it involves a laptop, a cable and some clever software usually in exchange for a beverage
