Range Rover Evoque Coupe

Featured Replies

Am I the only one drooling over this?

Looks to me a lot like a Freelander with the roof caved in. Unquestionably the most ugly Land Rover ever.

It'll probably sell in large numbers though, because it will be 'fashionable'.

Hey ho, each to their own I suppose!

Rob,

that sounds quite funny coming from a man who drives a Roomster!

But then I like the look of my Yeti!

I really did laugh out loud at that one Graham

The Roomy has to be one of the most singularly ugly cars in the world, ever :D

HELP!!

Bryan and I agree on something!

Don't knock it B)

Actually I've thought of something else we agree on, and it's in your avatar!

Saw a white one the other day. Looked ok but not as dramatic in the metal. Didn't look worth the money being asked for them imho.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Graham.

I wouldn't say that the Roomster is pretty, but it is extremely practical and suits my current needs nicely. Just for the record, I quite like the look of the Yeti, too.

Brian, I'm on planet Kernow. There ain't nowhere better to be.

Rob.

I have literally seen loads of transporters full of these on the M6 - mostly white and LHD so i presume they are going to the UAE where this is likely to be the latest fashion car.

Pulled up alongside a black on the other day - have to say i love them. Wouldn't mind chopping the VRS in for one, but i wouldn't have white or black!

Have Overfinch got their hands on one yet? Saw a nice black one today which didnt look factory spec.

Saw my first one today and although I like the look of it I'm not sure I'd like to drive it in traffic; those side rear windows are very small!!

Sadly this is the trend now. You dont need them to be useful, as you order parking sensors is the logic. Style over usability.

I think they look amazing...... They are Ford Focus sized too so easy to park. I've sat in plenty and every time I get in the back I'm amazed by the space. It is not Superb huge by a long shot but there is more than you expect. The same with the view out. You expect to see nothing with that weird metal to glass ratio but in the metal the view out is pretty good - bar the letterbox rear window of course. But plenty cars these days suffer from that. Audi TT or Evoque Coupe? No contest in my book. I'd have this Evoque any day.

Just a pity that you need to pay over £40,000 (or more!) for a decently specced one that is, yes Focus sized. So a LOT of money for not a lot of metal. They will sell like hot cakes regardless. Low spec hideously dated Range Rover Sport or a high spec one of these? No brainer for someone with £50,000 to spend at a Land Rover dealer I'd say.

I commute through rural Derbyshire every day where even the LR Defenders are black and permanently shiny. 4WD's are thick on the ground but not an Evoque in sight.

Seen three on the roads up here.....and big transporter full of them the other day........looks sci-fi ish....like it's escaped from a computer game (saw one in black!).........but the rear seats are small.....and it costs how ####ing much?????? :o ........style over substance again....design/brand /lifestyle/choice for those without a life/personallity/etc who have to identify with a "thing" as that says who/what they are!......more egos to crush come winter then I overtake them....did what alot in the past two winters to alot of RR and RRsport drivers from down south who where up here for the winter sports (skiing etc). :giggle:

but the rear seats are small.....

Erm have you sat in one? Saying something like that it is obvious you have not. I've sat in very many and there is as much room back there as there is in my Yeti - side to side and in terms of leg room. The window's shoulder line is just higher but the rear seats certainly are NOT small.

Yes...but it was the 3dr and rear access was worse than my old 3dr VW Polo!......I know that the the glass slopes etc make it look smaller.....maybe I should rephrase what I meant.....I would expect a bit more room in the back for the cost of the vehicle....the 5dr would be better.....but again how ####ing much :o !

When this first came out...well when I first saw it...it was the Bowler Nemesis...now it's the QT Wildcat...(sounds like a small fluffy animal...until it rips your head off).....in black!!!

I wasn't all that keen on them by looking at the pics but after seeing a few on the road they are actually really nice and have a **** load of gadgets on them

Did anyone see the fifth gear review? Seems LR havn't just made a good looking car, but its a belter to drive on and off road.

It says on the Overfinch Website " Coming Soon "

Now that would be interesting to see.

Well the Beckham corpse has had her way!!!!! "Feast" your eyes on this:

No pictures of the car with the hood up as I suspect it will look absolutely awful...... Though I suspect it can't ever look as awful as the first SUV cabrio out there: the (would you believe IN PRODUCTION!!!) Nissan Murano Cabrio.
