Thanks Carlo.

Not bought any LEDs yet, still debating which ones I should get. I think it's time to toss a coin........

My new Monte Carlo :). Hope that works !

Thanks for the link, but the listing warns that they're not Canbus error free in some vehicles. Are you actually using these?

Sorry,

but number plate lights like those are so annoying when following a car or having to stop behind one at night.

What is the point of them being fitted?

Yeah, they're a little too bright, but lots of BMW and other makes are fitting LED number plate lights as standard.

If that is too bright, how do you do when you meet a car with hid in their headlights x)? It's not like they are blindingly bright...

& what is the point of them, better view of the rear number plate or a worst view?

You do not have to sit facing cars coming towards you  with HIDs for any time and they should be dipped into the side.,

if you come behind cars at junctions traffic lights, road works etc,

especially in the rain you can have those number plate lights shining at you for yonks.

(i am so bad a driver that the driver in front then may have my full beam shining in their rear view mirror when the fancy takes me,

just the same as when people leave on rear fog lights or sit with their foot on the brake pedal for ages..)

The number plate lights are not so bright in real life. This is a low light issue (overexposed) in the dark garage, the cameras never capture the original brightness of such led bulbs... ;)

This needs pinning
