Who to contact at Skoda UK about poor Dealer?

No' date=' I don't run a loyalty club, just over time you build up a good relationship with people.

Would you feel upset that Sainsbury's or Tesco reward their large-spending customers with more reward points on their loyalty cards?

No. I don't use loyalty cards and any way extra rewards for big spenders are no secret are they? Rarely use these outfits, prefer to support small, quality retailers and farm shops.

Whether they're secret or not is, I suspect, not really relevant - they are rewarding people for being loyal, by providing something which non-loyal people wouldn't get. Two tiers of service, or discrimination if you want to word it strongly.

Whether a company chooses to do a formal or informal loyalty scheme, it still stands that spending more money will get you more in return...

Rob.

I bought my first brand new 54 plate Fab VRS from the"golden card club loyalty scheme" Skoda dealer. NOT impressed by the way that dealer handed my new Fab VRS over to me when I went to collect it, also within two weeks of ownership I needed warranty work done so I loyaly checked out the Briskoda dealer web page to find the best Skoda dealership voted by fellow Skoda owners with the highest score within the North West of England for Customer Service and went to them to complete the work for me. They did the work and very impressed I was with the Customer Service so I bined the "Gold Card" and will loyaly return to the other Skoda outlet for future needs to my Fab VRS.

I certainly wouldn't buy an ex-lease car again.

My Superb was an ex-demo. Wouldn't buy one of them again either.

Edit- correct the quote.

I bought new from a Skoda dealer, but they also cannot be bothered. It makes no difference where the car came from, it seems Skoda have dealerships that don't give a damn, they seem to be adopting the VW attitude of 'we're doing you a favour by letting you in the showroom'. I hate to see what they'd be like if i hadn't bought from them.

Interesting how a thread has shown people have so much passion about just wanting to be looked after properly by the garage more so than the threads on cars, their speeds, economy, price, design, modification.

And I agree :D

Finally we've winkled out your definition of it. Loyalty =

This 'loyalty' points schemes etc that Tesco and others offer is a bonus for spending money there... But I think the main point is that someone who just pops in for a loaf once a month will be treated EXACTLY the same as someone who spends

In todays modern world their is no such thing as loyalty yes your dog my stay loyal, your wife might too,but in todays business enviorment it would be mad to stay loyal. I have another car which I drive a hugh Lexus fantastic machine and I have spent a Queens ransome on this marque as this is the forth that I have owned. My lexus dealer knows that I will visit all the lexus dealers in the area in which I live to test the market and the price to change and if I buy at another lexus outlet well so be it, I am still very welcome at MY original lexus outlet with no bad feelings because the motto of lexus GB is the Customer IS King no matter which dealer he buys from and that is why Lexus win the JD Power servay year in and year out for Customer Service. As a first time Skoda owner with a 54 plate Fab VRS my Skoda dealer failed to meet the basic standard of customer service and through this wonderfull website I found another Skoda outlet that does..by the why I am beginning to like my VRS more than my Lexus..

This has happened to us as well. I bought SWMBOs SEAT Ibiza new from a car supermarket - simple decision based on the fact it was

to a business, a customer who spends more is of more value to that business. Rob.

So customer A spends twice as much as customer B. However while customer A is a real pain in the bum causing lots of unjustified hassle in one way or another but customer B gets it right first time nearly everytime and is reasonable in his dealings. Who is the most loyal? Or if you prefer, the most valuable? These two attributes are not different names for the same thing.

I've already covered this in previous posts...

Well update time then.

The Fabia went back in today to have the work re-done.

The Service manager kept well out of my way but both the lad on the desk and the sales manager were very apologetic.

The car was completed within six hours not the two days it took before and they have made a first class job.

The car has been cleaned inside and out and they had even blacked the plastics, mudflaps and tyres.

Now why couldn't they have been all this before?

Just noticed a little bit of cheek, the dealer has removed the supermarket sticker from the rear window together with the supermarket tax disc holder and replaced them with their own. :)

Cheers

Lee

Hopefully those subtle changes will help ensure better service henceforth... :sofahide:

Thought that a few were gonna meet up and have a fight at one point! Fantastic stuff.

Well i'm a plumber and i love all my customers past and present, something about walking into a cold house in the dead of winter, several hours later it's nice and warm and my wallet is buldging!

No sugar in mine thanks!

This is why plumbers are so hard to find we're all at home cleaning our flipping silver seats in our Octy VRS's and reading all this stuff!
