Headlight warning noise

Featured Replies

When you leave your head lights or sidelights on and turn the engine off, when you open the door a siren/noise comes on to tell you that you need to turn them off.

This has suddenly stopped working, Im guessing it may just be the fuse gone so does anyone know which fuse it is ?

I have looked at the fusebox diagram in the owners manual but cannot identify which one it is that refers to this siren/noise, can anyone help please ?

i remember it to be 15, but if the fuse is gone it'll reset your trip computer every time you restart.

maybe another user can confirm or correct me

Mine stopped working - due to the switch in the drivers door lock mechanism no longer working. Does your interior light still come on when your drivers door opens? Also controls the light in the door, "door open" light on the dash, fuel pump priming etc.

Usually when they stop working it's due to the door switch or control unit

if your interior light doesn't work your central locking wont work either.

fuel pump priming

I did not know the Octy knew how to prime the fuel pump/system..... That was something my 306HDI did, but my 110TDI does not seem to do.

I know you have an Octavia, whereas I have a Fabia VRS MK1. But when my siren/alarm packed up with the car only 6 months old, the speedometer was replaced as the siren/alarm was integrated into the electrical system.
