Another Strange Add-on from SuperSkoda

Featured Replies

As titled, this is as strange as the rear diffuser they brought out couple of months ago.

This as well, I could understand the shiny black ones that match the C-pillar, but carbon fibre.....

How the spoiler can be described as "off-road" when it will get ripped off quickly, I'm not sure.

Don't forget that carbon fibre look is the "in thing"!! I'm sure a piece of black wrapping material would be cheaper and look better. Hasn't someone here already done it?

Re the rear spoiler; I'm still awaiting a report from our European friend who has fitted one to see if it has reduced the rear spray "problem".

just what a soft roader needs, less ground clearance, mind you how many owners actualy go offroad, only have ever seen 2 mud spattered 4x4

You've obviously missed mine then!!

The front spoiler/valance would look GREAT on an Octavia or Fabia vRS but NOT on a Yetiemoticon-0120-doh.gif

The Yeti is marketed as an off-roader, and as Graham says, it doesn't need or want less ground clearance. emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

As for this B-pillar things, they look cheap and naff emoticon-0120-doh.gif

+ 1.

What's the point of an 'aero' front spoiler on a 4X4. It also looks like the ride height has been lowered quite considerably and larger 19" or 20" wheels fitted. POINTLESS IMHO.

As for the B pillar covers; black or carbon effect totally spoil the design feature of Yeti that emphasises the B pillar - again POINTLESS IMHO.

PS> apologies in advance if anyone reading this has bought, or intends to by, the offending items. ;)

I want more ground clearance.....not less. Now how do I get those freelander high rise kits to work with my suspension.........emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

.... just fit some bigger wheels/tyres is the easiest, surely. ;) Will not compromise suspension geometry.

But might foul the bodywork......emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

What you need then, is a set of 4 wheel arches from an old Transit long wheelbase van.

Remember them? :giggle:

Oh, and a hacksaw!

Maybe they decided to offer this when they saw the thread on the yeti as quick as a supercar thread!

Wouldn't have appealed to me when I had mine, but everyone is different.

Good lad, nice to see someone making full use of them , instead of swanning around town

True. But it isn't a Yeti...........

True. But it isn't a Yeti...........

I know that but it's a great pic isn't it? Especially the silly grin on the drivers face and the look of the poor kid beside him.

But are you saying that the Yeti is not capable of getting really muddy? Is Llanigraham's as bad as it gets? Don't want to get the pristine paintwork dirty

Must say I would cringe at the thought of treating £20k of vehicle like that!

I'm sure the Yeti is perfectly capable of getting muddy. Just not found enough of it so far emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

If it is only mud (on the outside), no problememoticon-0136-giggle.gif

True. But it isn't a Yeti...........

No, but it's the Yeti underneath that is keeping it afloat.

As far as I am concerned, it is an off-road vehicle, so gets used as such. Mud washes off. It has actually been worse than that, to the extent that you couldn't tell where the rear window or number plate were. 60 miles of forestry track use in wet Welsh weather does that!

Just need a piccy of that for the calendar.......
