Hi!

I have Octavia MKI and on-board computer began to behave strangely... last month when I fill up full fuel tank on-board computer show me as always "distance to empty" around 1290km, today I filled her and on-board computer shows me that i can cross just 900km! Before i filled her up my needle was around 1/5 of gauge (and just turned on light for reserve - acording to Skoda this light turns on when you have about 7 liters fuel in tank), but on board computer say that my distance to empty is just 40km... my avrage consumption at that moment was 5 liters on 100km!

My usualy avrage cnsumption is 4.3 liter on 100km... does anyone know what the problem is?

As a solution for your problem, you have to replace what is called "Fuel Gauge Sender" with the serial number 8L0 919 673 E brand new is prefered to ensure perfect long lasting results.
