factory fitted ones are in the bumper. Dealer fit ones are in the black plastic strip.

I had mine fitted by the dealer, look better! plus u don't get polish stuck in them!

I didn't realise that dealer fit was an option. Mind me asking the cost?

No problem!!! :D

My wife has made me her parking sensor.

Everytime she reverses her Furby into a tight spot, I have to get out and guide her.

Roll on summer for us walking parking sensors!

Get a towbar works as well as any parking sensor, and you can tow a trailer with it aswell :D

Hey Pimpster, I'm doing the same thing as you. Did you say you ended up fitting them in the black strip? Cheers

Nah, i decided to fit them in just under the black strip, as thats where the stock ones are situated.

How long did they take to fit them, and have you colour-coded them?

They took about 45 mins in total to fit. As the car is already black, there was no need to colour code the sensors. The bit which took the longest, was measuring the positions of the sensors correct. Other than that, it is very straight forward.

I was considering these sensors from the dealer and was wondering what the indicator on the dash was like and what the final cost was?

there isn't an indicator, they mount a speaker somewhere and it beeps more the closer you get.

the speaker is mounted where your seat belt is under the plastic of the centre pillar.... drivers side

pimpsters is soo pimp...he has one that replaced his rear view mirror its still a mirror but when you put the car in reverse it actually displays the distance from the object in metres...in the mirrior!!!

Lol this is true. There are loads of different kits avaliable out there at the moment. Some of which include the rear view mirror hologram lcd (which i have), small digital lcd screens, some of which are quite cool, as the display a picture of a car, with a "object" behind it, which moves closer as you revserse. You can just get the audio ones too, there are loads.

blimey sounds good, think the work Astra needs them fitting. I forgot what car I was driving and hit a lamp post in the car park!

got any pics of your mirror sensors?
