Fast road pads available?

Featured Replies

Now that I'm familar with the power & handling of the Fabia vRS, one thing that is a little disappointing is the way the brakes perform.

The initial bite is good, but the feel & amount of pedal pressure required to get it to stop quickly is not to my liking.

I know a 312mm disc & calipers conversion works well but I don't have that kind of money at the moment.

I would like to try changing the pads but can't seem to find any available for the vRS.

Anybody know if they're available & do they improve the feel of the brakes?

I was trying to find out about DS2500 pads for the fabia vRS but at over

I've heard mixed results from EBC. Some people have claimed that they disintegrate or catch fire

Never had a problem with the DS2500 I had on my previous furhy. They were just plain awesome, if a little pricey :(

EBC don't specifically list them for the vRS, only 1.4 & 1.9 TDI (not 288mm discs).

Also list Fabia 2.0 but have no RRP! Am right in thinking these have 288mm brakes?

Maybe worth enquirying about these.

Ferodo DS2500 are available for Fabia 2.0 aswell, but are

Black diamond pads and discs on mine... no complaints :)

Steve, Are these 288mm discs?

I have EBC Greenstuff pads (although on 312mm brakes) but the they work well

I am going to get DS2500's in the near future on my standard brake setup. I dont think the brakes are terrible by any means as standard, but I anticipate that there will be the world of difference once decent pads are on. After all, with 288mm discs up front, the brakes arent that puny... size probably aint the problem here. Hopefully I shall find out soon. I'll let you guys know when I get them.
