Underbonnet sound insulation

Well it has not made any difference on Oil temp or cooler to me. I'm sure Skoda has been saving a few quid of insulation on Petrols since they are very quiet, and fit it to noisy diesels.

It makes a difference in temperature, but only when it's warming up, mine warms up really quickly in cool/cold weather.

That's excactly what I'm after, winter can get really cold here in Norway.

Nope, mine's got insulation around the battery - at least

Got mine yesterday - it comes with the clips pre-fitted.

It makes a slight difference to noise levels, most noticeable at low to medium speeds.

Got mine today too, clips prefitted on mine as well (althought the dealer told me that a clip set was required...) . Can't say I noticed any lower noise level from inside, but maybe a tiny bit from outside.. Will be interesting to see if the engine heats a bit faster, that's my main objective by fitting the insulation mat.

It should do, as the heat from the engine will come up to the mat rather than directly onto the underside of the bonnet. I suspect if you were to put some silver foil insulation under the mat it would work even better. :wonder:
