Hi folks,

Theres this annoying "clicking" noise that happens when I press the brake pedal and just as I'm releasing it the clicking noise happens - coming from the front drivers wheel area.

Sounds like metal hitting/clicking against each other.

I just got the car serviced there and thought they might have sorted it but no its still there. Brakes all work ok and pads are good.

I have done some searching online and it could possibly be some sort of relay making a clicking noise (this may be a worthy suggestion as the brakes work 100%)

Really cheesing me off everytime I brake the click happens :(

Any ideas of what it could be??

Single click or constant? If single, pad slap, if constant, splash plate too close to disc rotor, or possibly wheel bearing. Also check caliper to carrier bolts are tight, and pad shims and heat shield aren't broken, missing or damaged.

Are you mechanically able? I'd be looking at stripping and cleaning the front brakes first and going from there!

Thanks for the replies guys, just got the car back from skoda and they took the brake calliper off cleaned and put it back on etc (basically cleaned and checked everything to do with the front brakes).

Got home and no clicking - was gr8, then went for another drive and once I arrived home "click"!!!!! and its been doing it ever since :(

The car stops perfect nothing dodgy.

Really annoying me now, im tempeted to upload video and let you guys hear the click noise, in fact yes I will do that lol
