Fabia vRS yes they will, that is a pretty good price, so you cant go wrong...

Is that just calipers & carriers? Or the same as what you describe above with pads and discs? Also, what about hubs? ;):D

The place that quoted a ton, said they'd chuck in the discs for an additional

You have PM :)

The TDI hubs come with the brake carrier as an integral part' date=' so would need new hubs with switchable carriers to go down the big brakes route. :(

There are other possibilites too on the horizon though, as well as this option.[/quote']

Ahhhh.... but not a problem for the vRS owners, yes?

There is a rather helpful handy guide on how to fit them and what is required in the guides section so i noticed.

PS, one of the guys I spoke to had a set from an S3 as well, so that's 3 sets I know of going, not two (my original post included the ones I want...) so that's 4 sets in total...

As for the turbo groove discs, I'd rather stick with proper VAG parts really - they'll be enough for me, and there's less of a warranty issue than fitting non-VAG approved bits. I know it's still a mod, but my dealer has said that they don't have an issue with fitting VAG parts from other VW group cars in terms of voiding the warranty... this might test them tho...

Yep. I'm sure it looks much easier than I'd be likely to find it...

I've got a brand new set for an S8 in the shed, pushing my luck a bit, I'd need the S8 18"s too...

...I'll get my coat

mmmmmm just need to convince the wife its a saftey feature

Where do you get the green caliper paint from?

I see Milotec do it. Is it available through Butts?

S8 calipers are terrible, they weigh a tonne each and the small pads fade very quickly.

Ive seen green hamerite paint that is very close to Skoda green, cheap aswell.

you have another PM!

Hammerite smooth green is the right colour and easy to come by. Just give them a good clean first (whatever you paint them with) :D

How would she know?

She wouldnt tell the difference by looking at them and if she drives the car I doubt she'l notice, unless she drives particually brisk...

'No dear they feel sharper as the pads have bedded in' ;)

OK, going slightly off topic...

1996 Audi A6 2.6SE - what size front brakes does that have, and will the audi TT brakes fit it? My brother's asking now cos his brakes are pony and if he can get 312mm brakes for that money he will!!! Any help? Or other suggestions?

Getting tons of requests for the contact details for the breakers who have suitable 312mm brakes, so here they are:

I think the above might have been the one who said they were also breaking an S3 which would also have the necessary bits.

Hi,

We have caliper for the VRS Octavia and the Leon Cupra. The price is

Pity they havent got the brembos for a Cupra R. I've got some brembos for a Focus RS but they aren't the same and you'd need 17" wheels minimum.

I was kidding about the S8 calipers, they are huge and the disks are rediculously thick.
