thats mine on, better late than never

i put the Nankang sv2 on that others have used so hopefully, should we get snow or ice, ive made the right choice

195.55.15 as per the spare wheel size keeping the same rolling circumference so im told

insurance said they didnt even need to know which sounds odd but she said so long as there road legal thats all they care about

now im gonna look for some centre caps, are they all the same size? ill scour ebay EDIT looking on ebay (these are VW wheels) im wondering do you measure the inside of the wheel centre cap or the outside? inside is 50mm but outside is 55mm and ifs its inside ill have to get stickers to cover the vw badge as i can only find 55mm and upwards as proper caps

p.s. im really pleased i bought the black original wheels as silver and the black pack look pants

It finally snowed, so I made the most of it.

Went on a good hour drive through the B roads around Dundee and the tyres coped amazingly well. The only time the car got "out of hand" ( I use that term very lightly ) was when I was trying to get it to slide on the white stuff. When it does slide its very easy to control and bring back on the straight and narrow. I found that the vRS works well in the snow. Parked at the bottom of a hill I let the car start crawling itself then gave some gas to about 2k and up it went, no bother accelerating to 30mph easily.

For anyone that knows Dundee, The Law is the biggest hill he have in the city, so I decided to drive up it as the ultimate test. It's fairly steep at about 1:3 in parts spiriting up to the top.

Well worth it now I'd had time to actually use them in snow

Hi Westfalia do two stands for storing wheels, they are an upright three legged pole. You place a pin in the upright slip on a plastic disk then a tyre. The another pin, disk and tyre. Thsi saves room and keeps the tyre and wheels without sidewall damage or flatspots. They also do racks that bolt to the wall but wheels/tyre are a bit heavy to have to lift too high. The one I use is called a wheel rim tree
