how to check if hose/pipe is damaged

Featured Replies

Hey guys

whats the best way to check if a hose/pipe is split. Can i do it myself or do i need to see a mechanic?

i'm having low boost prolems with my vrs 170 pd.

If you have low boost take the pipe from the n75 valve which goes to the turbo and blow, if you can not blow too much and you feel the pressure come back your actuator is fine if you can keep blowing then its this causing the problem. Next it could be the n75 which from vag is called a converter valve. also check the pipes between the intercooler.

Should also say I have just got rid of p0299 fault by replacing my actuator, go to VW for the part not skoda as they will try to sell you the turbo

Smoke test machine will reveal any leaks :)
