Since the Favorit is so similar to the Felicia, there's lots of choices apart from the 135/136 units. As Mada says, the VW 1600 petrol is pretty direct fit, as is the 1.9D with mechanical injection.

Member TeflonTom has fitted a 2.0 and is working on a 1.8T, and AwesomeGTI did a felly with a VR6 unit in it.

I think someone has fitted a Honda VTEC too. It all boils down to 2 things. Cash, and mechanical skills.

Bear in mind that a Fav is similar but not the same as a Felicia - if you see a Felicia conversion then if it's a later (Reinforced Body) model then the subframe is different and the chassis legs too - older ones angle down at the front (like a Fav), whereas RB ones don't. You may need to alter mountings to suit, and also bear in mind that a Fav doesn't have the lower mounting on the gearbox; it's on the engine end on a Fav. Not insurmountable, but worth noting.
