What sort of maintance should I be carrying out on my 1.8t intercooler if any? Thanks guys.

if you are really bothered you could wash the fins clean, and maybe clean out any trapped oil that has collected in it, but i doubt you would notice the difference

I use to flush the charge cooler on my old celica thought with petrol every 6 months or so, use to get a fair bit of gunk out to. Been meaning to flush mine as it's been on there a year almost.

I have cleaned oil out and also demucked the fins on mine as it does affect cooling ability if the air cant flow through it (wheel arch modded)

I have cleaned oil out of SWMBO's passat tdi as the puddle in the bottom WAS restricting the flow as it must have never been cleaned out.

Mine hasn't been cleaned in 8 years.
