Hi everyone, I took delivery of my new (to me) Falicia 1999 1.3LXi last night so i thought I would join up and find out a bit more about them

The reason for getting the car is because I normally travel to work by motorbike, but winters coming up and it looks as though it could be another bad one if the forecasters are to be believed, so I thought a cheap car to tide me over winter would be sensible.

I collected it from Redcar and drove it 70 miles home last night, it ran really well except for a rattling/knocking from the front somewhere everytime I went over a bump, so today I'm going to service it and check all is well.

Well I serviced the car today, oil & filter, air filter and spark plugs, gave it a check over and there was lots of play in the nearside front wheel, I thought it was the bearings at first but when I looked more closely it was the top of the strut that was rattling around, so a trip to Euro Car Parts and £14.70 later and I got a pair of rubbers and bearings, got one side fitted, other side seems ok but I might as well do it as well seeing as I've got the parts, hopefully it should be as quiet as a church mouse now
