Small brake upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have to change all my discs and pads.

For the rear i will probably choose OEM, but for the front setup i'm not so sure. I have an offer for EBC Turbo Groove discs and red or yellow stuff pads? Anyone has this setup? I'm also interested in Tarox G88 discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads.

The car is stock, but most likely will be stage 1 next year. No track action as there are no track in Romania...

I just want something a bit better since i have to change everything.

Also what braided brake lines to buy? Goodridge?

And brake fluid? I now have Motul dot5.1 but will probably change to Motul RBF660.

Any input will be welcomed,

Thanks

Ferodo DS2500 get a big

i have only every used EBC greenstuff pads and to be honest they were not that good.

discs i would used OE standard such as Padig, Brembo

I had G88 discs on the vrs and were the worse discs I have had.

Not much bite, faded.

Just a massive waste of money. Oe discs and a decent fast road pad.

Have you ever cooked the standard brakes? If not I wouldn't bother going for uprated pads. I don't think it's worth you getting racing brake fluid either, Castrol DOT4 will do just fine.

I had DS2500s on a previous car and they were good pads (lots of bite from cold too) but gave off a lot of dust compared to most OEM brakes.

Thanks for your replies. I will reconsider then, and probably go for oem discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads.
