roll cage mk1 octavia vrs

Featured Replies

hello i am building a mk 1 vrs for track days and require some photo of the inside for a roll cage

Not being funny, but can't you take some photos of inside of your car? Unless you don't have it yet of course.

What photos do you need? Mounting points etc?

ye i have stripped all the inside of the car and not quite sure were to mount the cage i am a mechanic so understand were to put the cage but some photo would be usefull as to how many cross braces and door bar ect thanks for your reply

This will all depend of the manufacturer of the cage, they should supply diagrams of the cage and whatever mounting plates need to be fabricated.

all depend on what you go for

bolt in 6 point

bolt in 4 point

bolt in 6 point dash dodger

above very basic cages

or you go for a weld in buy a company and they will do it all anyway

cost of a full on welded cage is £1800

if you making a track car why choose the vrs platform??? needs alot of mods to make it a nice handling car but will always be a lard arse on the track with fwd???

also do you really need a cage for track days ???

imo without tons of work and a good power hike the vrs is not a car to choose for out right track car imo
