17" tyer prices

Featured Replies

Hi all, Just got back from abroad and my alloys that i got from devonutopia have turned up. really happy with them so went straight down to my local tyre dealer and got a small shock for 4 17" tyres and to have them fitted and the tracking done its £280 and thats for the cheap tyres, if I want Kumhos, which i had on my old car they are £320. is this a normal price or is it a bit OTT :mmm:

thanks in advanced

Mike

Toyo Proxes are around £75 a corner delivered from Camskill, so yes, they are not cheapest, but not much more really than 16" (never looked into 16" ones before)

16`s I found to be pricey due to the odd size, but that sounds reasonable for 17`s. always worth shopping about imo

I run 17" T1R's on my Fabia - I Bought 8 for £300 about a year ago when they were cheap on Camskill.

You can get mid-range tyres like Falkens for about £60ea from them just now - or blackcircles

have a gander on ebay and gumtree, I just got 4 17x40x205 dunlop sp sports which have barely any wear ie 7mm^ for under a hundred quid. Just missed 3 uniroyals on gumtree for 70 quid too. Bargains to be had.

HUMMMM, Thanks guys much appreciated, at least i know that I'm not being ripped off. Went to quick fit just to see and they wanted £370 so i told them where to shove it.

I've always found buying them online first to be cheaper. Then taking them to a local to get fitted.

I tend to buy of those guys: http://www.clickontyres.com/ - good prices for good tyres. If you want something they dont list - give them a call. Just bought 2 Falkens for my Merc for 60 each. Very happy with them.
