Convince me to buy a Furby VRS

Featured Replies

Ok - not that I need the encouragement - BUT in the best way you can - convince me to buy a Furby VRS - you can also include pics (please) in your arguement to help push me over the edge. Muchos Gracious

Welcome.

You shouldnt choose the fabia vrs

The fabia Vrs should choose you

Now bow down to the diesel god

They are very unattractive to look at, obscene ride height, dodgy alloys, strange bolt on look body kit, ltd spec, ltd colours, gash interior colour, very plasticky almost low rent, old generation VW engine so long in the tooth, not the best chasis in the world, short service intervals and of course it is a SKODA.

So - have i convinced you yet ;):)

go test drive one

thats all you need to do

just buy it you wont regret it

If you need Convincing you don't need one. ;)

don't tell him about the secret boost button under the steering wheel that makes it do 0-60 in 3 seconds

I wasn't looking for reverse-psychology - but thanks  - humour me :friday:

Went out in tfboy's rocket on sunday night - awesome.

Just wanted other opinions on it

TFboy's isn't standard though, infact it's very far from standard if it's the one I am thinking of.

I've been assured it's not the one you're thinking of

I know it's not standard - but then neither will be mine - (well - not for very long!!) ;)

We are talking Hybrid turbo which is very expensive, just letting you know.

I'm a newbie to the briskoda forum - but no stranger briskoda's feature cars!! - hehe

TBH - i probably wouldn't go that far e.g hybrid turbo as was suggested - but still would be able to mix it up with the best

Wanna try takin' on the Clio?

To be fair, a Skoda forum being asked to review a Skoda, despite people being honest it will be a biased opinion. I think the car speaks for itself and infact every motoring journal can verify how good the cars are.

I asked some people from the Saxo sports club what they thought of the car, showing them a picture of mine, and this was the only negative reaction:

oh my f**kin god.... thats a scoda!!!

my be powerful.. i wudnt be seen dead.. or alive in 1!!!!!

So i obviously don't worry about that "special" character.

As far as i am concerned if you are in the market for a

I bought one for SWMBO in January - Liked it so placed an order last week for my one to replace my Scooby - Does that help to convince you?

Oh yeah, forgot about that bit. I sold my 300bhp top spec Volvo 850 T5 for a measly furby ! I must be nutts :D

I must be nutts :D

If the cap fits ;)

Oh yeah - Pasted from another post I made

I've just taken a Policy with Elephant -

Yep - Got 60 MPG over a 75 mile journey on Sunday.

Woulda be 30 MPG Max in the Scooby.

God I must be getting old - I never used to worry about petrol!!

The only thing I will say is :-

Go and test drive 1 for at least 30 Mins - and i bet you borrow a pen to sign on the dotted line . :)

Just how different from standard does the addition of a smiley face air freshner make it?

Mine's as "standard" as Jon's is a "SDI" :)

But ignore people talking about a hybrid turbo - you don't need one.

As I've said, I prefer the way my previous car drove (and that had been remapped by Jabba).

As everyone says, it's not the numbers from a RR, it's the grin on ya face that counts. Ignore rumours that the SDI has around 370 ft.lb of torque, ignore the rumours that mine may have circa 200 bhp. FYI, on a "grin" scale, Furby mark 1 post Jabba was :D. Currently, mine is :D but with an occasional . Soon, I hope it'll be :D :D :D

;)

IMHO, for the initial budget of less than a grand, I'd get a remap, 312mm disc conversion up front with DS2500 pads, a strut brace plus possibly a cupra air intake + green panel filter. Next grand would have to be suspension and zorst :) But just a remap and brakes will do nicely for starters ;)
