Was just on the Skoda-Auto main site (Skoda home..not UK)and looking in the PDF cats (main and accesories for Roomster.....and they offer different colour roofs and front foils!

There is a very cool Roomster in white with white wheels and a black roof and black front foils which make the doors/windows/roof all disappear in one unified mass...looks very sleak and sporty.......Why can't we get it over here???

This one is actually looking very nice although I generally don't like the idea of a roof in separate color on the roomster. Since the roofline is not straight a diiferent colored roof accentuates (IMHO) the odd shapes of the Roomster even more.

Now don't get me wrong on this one, I think the Roomster is a very interestingly looking car, not necessarily beatiful according to general motoring standards, but with a different look that promises something different than the rest of the car - and the car keeps that promise as well. But I think that there are other betterl designed parts of the car that can be highlighted than the two-levelled roofline.

Why can't we get it over here???

Lets face it the Roomster is fugly, this is just putting lipstick on a pig, it's still fugly, but tarted up. Disguising the strange side glass lines removes the point of a Roomster, that it is different, distinctive, stands out in a crowd, that's it's charm. It is also supremely practical, but instead of being plain, it's fugly different.

I still wouldn't swap my Roomster for any other car in its class (but, it is in a class of one ) and my wife would throw a hissy fit as she loves it.

Thats what I thought too........I wonder what it would look like on a new Scout version......with the Monte Black pack headlights and grill and black wheels........would look good in the red as well as the white!.........my next car me thinks!!
