Vrs gearbox/Clutch issue

Featured Replies

Got a strange problem with my clutch. If I start the car and leave the clutch depressed while idling, I hear this awful metalic clicking/ticking quite quick 4 a second. If i press the clutch pedal the noise stops. The noise disappears when the engine is warm. I have no problems with gearchanges and the car pulls away smoothly. its only done 46k and has no mods. Am I right in thinking the dual mass would constantly make a noise? Could it be gearbox oil? Any ideas would be welcome dont want to go down the clutch flywheel change route at such low mileage.

DMF weak spring and it will be tapping off the end stops inside the DMF. Budget for a new clutch and DMF, best to change before they fail, as sometimes they take the gearbox casing out with them.
