BMA lot of new cars, and esspecially BMW have an enviromental policy and use as little paint as possible. If you go into a showroom and look inder the bonnet and in the boot you will find a matt black finish !!!

I quite liked it with the blue tape on actually - it looked kind of like something out of TRON!!!

Presume it was a 7 washed down to a 5 series.Any more scrubbing and he will end up with a mini on the drive.

Looks nice, BUT, all that effort, and a quick trip down a cow-****'d up lane down my way would soon "restore" that car back to how mine looks most of the time.

Just realised the guy who owns the Beemer reminds me of Christian Bale in American Psycho.

Normaly treat mine to a 4 pound 'hand job' by the local assilum seekers down the road during the winter months!

Will give it a propper clean and polish when the clocks go back. Roll on Summer!

All BM's have some level of orange peel -one of our local bodyshops has a guy who's been on a course to learn how to achieve the right effect!

Likewise, let someone else do the hard work, and then come along with a bottle of autoglym and a cloth once a year.

I have had good intentions about cleaning mt car recently, but i couldn't b a&&sed. Silver seems to be quite good though, you can't really notice the dirt. I used to have a white golf (2 of them actually) which were a nightmare to keep clean.

I am that lazy that i went out last sunday and washed the wheels of the car and left the rest with 8 weeks of country road muck. It made a huge difference.
