Average MPG

Featured Replies

due to the cold weather the diesel has waxing additives in to stop the diesel frezing, plus your car takes longer to warm up, so this could understand your poor mpg. when was it last serviced, could be best chainging all oils and filters and see if u get a better reading

Full service when i bought it just over 2 month ago, didt know about the waxing though, thats interesting

im going to go out for a proper eco run tonight and do whatever i can to get the best reading. not so long ago i managed 50mpg but i have not been able to repeat it :/

Definitely sounds like somethings amiss, I'm one of those geeks that makes a not of how much fuel I've put in, and over the last 7000 miles I've averaged 46mpg, with the trip computer generally reading about 10% better than reality. Try using the cruise control on a flat stretch of motorway, I get about 55mpg on the computer (or 50mpg in reality) at 70mph from my CR170.
