How much would my brakes be worth?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section! :-/

Following my recent switch to 312mm front brakes, I'm considering selling my old vRS ones (calipers, carriers, disks and pads)

How much do you think they would be worth?

The calipers / carriers have covered 71k but the discs / pads were done when I bought the car roughly 5k ago - they look essentially new.

Thanks in advance ;-)

£30

They are worth what somebody is willing to pay.

Stick them on ebay and see what happens. You may get lucky and they will sell for around £100 or they could go for £20.

I would say 30

this what they goin for on ebay recently

I'd say keep them, so when you come to eventually sell your VRS you can revert it to stock and sell the 312's for a much better price.

Yeah as said, it's worth just putting them away. Then when you want to sell the car, sell the bits off it and put it back to standard.

Thanks I think your right - would have been inclined to keep them anyway if they'd only fetch peanuts

I paid 50 for discs pads callipers carriers and pads about 2 months ago. 288mm from a Fab VRs

Can I ask where you got and how much you paid for the 312mm brakes. Looking to upgrade my fabia soon.

Thanks

All you need is there :-)

I used hammerite smooth green to paint them. Smooth green is discontinued but u might be able to buy some off someone here if they have any spare. I did.
