Another dumb question, I still have the green paper license, I have not driven for seven years on that in the UK, is it still value I know they are plastic ones, do people still have the green paper ones.

As far as I know they're still valid. I had one until a year or so ago when I moved house and had to change.

Mine's heading the same way. I'm hoping it will last a little while longer.

Believe me when I say this, I see them everyday as I am a Senior Fraud Officer for a LARGE UK car lease firm. The green paper licences ARE still valid, no worries at all.

If you change addresse , then you will have to apply fror a new licemce they will then only supply the photo type , however if your details have not changed on the copy you have at present then it is still valid , up to the expiry date .

I am still driving on a Dutch-European license. Moved a whole bunch of times in the UK. It is legal & I will renew it this year, probably will end up with a Photo-ID UK version this time around. Ah well
