I remember putting an R32 wheel on my Golf and much preferring it, so just wondering what would be a direct fit to the 4x4 octavia and is as close as I can get to the fatty R32 leather one? Any chance of a list of my options, also would I be correct in thinking that some of the A3 ones would fit?

imo the R32 steering wheel is even worse. More at home in tea clipper than a car.

The best steering wheel is the vRS one. More grippy than any other mk.4 VAG steering wheel (thanks to the dotted leather).

The most common are the smooth leather ones from Golf GTI/GTDI/etc, A3/S3's etc.

All mk.4 steering wheels have a stupid huge diameter

If want a aftermarket steering wheel youhave to loose the airbag.

When changing steering wheel you'll need to change the airbag bag. This is the centre horn section of the steering wheel.

Its' rare to find steering wheel and airbag being sold together - which is a PITA

I loved my R32 steering wheel. A3 steering wheel is quite nice too as it has the protrusions just above 3 & 9 o clock. VRS wheel is ok too.
